Math -  We will be starting our 3rd grade math module this week.  This module focuses on understanding multiplication as equal groups.  Please make sure that you are doing the Zearn Lessons at home on the days that your child is not at school.. These are NOT optional.  It is VERY important that the lessons are done to ensure that your child is learning the concepts.  Thanks to all parents who have made sure that the lessons are completed. If you have any problems getting on ZEARN, please please please let me know.  You can message me on DOJO and I can walk you through it.

Science -  We are learning about weather conditions and how to describe weather. The Great Storm of Galveston is what we have been learning about for the last two weeks.

Social Studies- We will be defining a place from smallest to largest. We will be learning about our community and our parish to help us understand how location makes Louisiana unique. We will also be learning about the state capital.

English-. We will learn the difference between literal and nonliteral language. We will complete the sequence of the story’s events activity and fill out a semantic map. We will practice combining sentences about The Bee Tree using subordinating conjunctions. We will add character contributions to our Sequence of Events Graphic Organizer digitally. We  will begin to track characterization of Grampa through traits, feelings, and contributions to events on a character chart. We will identify the evidence that supports our understanding.

Please make plans to be online so that your child doesn’t miss any instruction.  Your child will be online from 8:00 until 11:00.  If for some reason your child can’t be online, these lessons will be recorded and must be watched and assignments completed before Monday.
